I'm Rick Lopez, a software engineer with a Master's degree in Engineering, specializing in Applied Artificial Intelligence. I have over a decade of experience, including senior engineering roles at Microsoft, Apple, and several fast-moving startups.

I was born in East LA and raised in Pico Rivera and Whittier, California. Everything that shaped who I am today, I learned in Pico Rivera — the work ethic, creativity, and resilience that still fuel me every day.

My expertise spans full-stack development using technologies like Node.js, React, Next.js, React Native, Supabase, and OpenAI. I focus on building scalable systems, designing intuitive user experiences, and shipping AI-powered products to production.

Today, I lead Artificial Compute, a startup focused on delivering automation and AI through a new software container called the Artificial Workforce. We recently launched a production-ready AI Employee platform designed to help teams do more with today’s models, not just what’s coming next.

Lately, I’ve been rethinking engineering workflows from first principles with AI at the core. I'm obsessed with helping teams unlock real value by integrating AI directly into their development and decision-making patterns.
